Definitely thinner cuts root faster but time does not matter to me. I always schedule 2 weeks to root anything no matter what so I don't sit around waiting on shit to root. I clone them and forget about em till its time.
Do yourself a favor and get trello, I use Monday app but it's way more complicated. Trello is more simple. Put all.your schedules in and it will really open your eyes to how much time is wasted in the grow room . I always schedule from propagation, veg to flower and chop. My tables are always on schedule.

that is a feeling a lot of us have ,me included ,as for not being impressed.
I try and grow them out whether impressed or not. It's just how I am.
Every plant deserves a chance in my book. Cause you just never know till the end.
Everyone is hooked on "frost" now a days and don't give the ugly ones a chance.
Remember those ugly girls in high school that mature up to become models and puts the cheerleaders to shame in later years? lol

Some pics of the Oreoz project. Of all the crosses I've ever made these took the cake. Literally almost every dosi x Oreoz plant was loud as fuk. I chopped 6 plants down to throw into reveg but one was so wack it gave me chills to hold it. It literally puts the Mac to shame. Smells like black licorice and candy corn. I have 1 that is the craziest chem smell I've ever smelled. Anyway here's some pics. I'll get more in a couple weeks

people can sleep on (insert 'hype' strain here) if they want to. That shit puts out the heat.
There is a LOT of good stuff available right here on this forum from the three or four breeders that are "legacy". I don't have beans from any of the new guys here but looking at others testing out their stuff I think the quality of the gear is on par with what's expected here.

I think that lots of these hype strains are all based on LA bullshit. I don't care what those freaks like. And something good doesn't change because some rapper did a different "song" about some new strain. I still haven't tried Blue Dream but I bet it's good. By the time stuff sorts out to the rest of the country they have already moved on and are bashing it in favor of the what the next Hollywood elitist shitbag is posting about in IG.

Not sure if you have thought about the seed-bank thing with a few breeders that are regular here. The Future Cannabis Project and FCP02 have breeders on podcasts just bullshitting and doing dabs. Occasionally they show a plant but FuckYoutube censorship and whatnot... However, they have a seedbank (DAGGA Gardens) where you can buy the beans from those breeders and a few select others.

They don't have the added value of a forum (unless you pay for a membership to something) where the breeders gear is highlighted and reviewed. For me that adds $10-$20 value to a pack of beans right out of the gate because I can see what I have the potential of growing instead of guessing based on some flowery pack description with cut-n-paste catch phrases about dankness and whatnot. You get a handfull of breeders together and have a one-stop-shop for gear grown here.

Just an idea. Not sure if the business model would be worth the hassle or add any value to what exists.

Not every customer is looking for the connoisseur type of weed your talking about. How long have yous been growing now and your still Poppin seeds. It's cause we are still looking for the next best thing. Not find a few good strains and just keep em going. That will never happen. Some growers you just cant ever make happy.
I never considered adub a hype plant especially since it's the only mom I own that I actually found in seeds. It checks all the boxes for quite a few growers that have grown it.

I didn't mean to imply it was hype - but all hype comes from somewhere. I did hear about the ADub before I heard about this site.
But there has to be quality. I'm just saying that if it was good in 2020, it's still good in 2022. Nothing changed.

As far as me dropping beans, I just like variety. I have weed that goes to the hash bin in the freezer shortly after it's cured. I also have a few that I really like, like your Lemon Tree S1's. I only got one lemon, but every one has been great. The current one has a butterscotch smell/flavor.

I have only been doing this for 4 years. I still don't know what I like and the next plant might be better than the last. Having found some go-to's I can count on to get my fire from with every bean makes it comforting while dropping the unknown.

From a business perspective you also have to consider the new legal states coming on line. Every time you'll get a new customer base that has yet to try the stuff they've heard of.
