...more tales from a first grower's perspective
well each of these youngsters has a bit of a story in their own way

the bagseed kids Jelly Pie (seeds were 3+ years old)
we soaked 4 beans all popped, 3 made it out of the dirt, 2 managed second leaf sets-ish

JP #1 "Bart" managed to skip one leaf every other node and a twist to the main stalk, a nice mutant.
training was mainly LST pulling the main stalk down to one side.

JP #2 "the Runt" slowest seed to pop, last out of the dirt (2 days later)
mutant growth here as well, this one self topped into two main stalks.

and the Blueballs 5+ year old beans 2 soaked both popped
definitely more typical growth

BB #1 "Other Betty" stretched from the start, was the first to show signs of shortages, looked a little rough going into the big pot.
training: topped and separated
BB_one_7.18.jpg

BB #2 "Betty" short, stout, orderly, very tight node spacing.
training; removed 6 - 8 upper leaves

and starting their second week of 12/12
4 not so little bushes that are trying to crowd each other

...observations from a first grower's perspective

Sometime during veg the tent began to smell of a rancid fuel we told ourselves it was the Stardawg shining through, once we flipped to 12/12 that odor disappeared. Now that we're nearing 3 weeks in flower the tent is developing a sweet walked past a bakery smell that makes me smile. One of the Jelly Pie "the Runt" is definitely pushing that smell, not sure on the other because smells tend to get stuck in my nose.

Next up leaf color, two of the kids have much bluer cast one from each camp. The Blueballs "Betty" is clearly the leader here with her very dark leaves, and "Bart" from the Jelly side. Hopefully everyone shines through different towards the end,
