#Heisenbeans Genetics

After being in talks with the Heisen Beans guys over the last couple weeks and in close communication over the past couple days I have decided to pull the plug on the Heisen Drop. I was unable to gain the confidence needed to launch such a developing brand and I was not getting the kind of workmanship and professionalism I had expected.
I am sorry to anyone that was excited, I will however have a ton of new seeds ready in time for April so stay tuned.
Greenpoint thread.

How much variance from plant to plant do s1's and s1 crosses usually express?
Compared to lets say a f1 polyhybrid?

It's something I been wondering, and haven't seen mentioned or talked about.
Unless I missed it, or was to stoned. lol

Since I grow mainly for myself, I normally don't run many at a time.
But if there will be a lot of different expressions between plants, I may run more and vedge less, and look for that special girl.

Hope it isn't to dumb of a question, but I never claimed to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. Just curious is all.
My understanding is that when you do a male/female cross from a strain, each has the variables from the parent plants, in full, and as such, the offspring possess the full potential of each. This can be controlled through selective culling. Eventually desired traits become dominant.
When using a herm'd clone on itself, the available genetic differences are from a single side of the equation. So the variances that the male would have had are not present. The possible outcomes of the fem will express, as well as possible mutations, but it's drawing from a smaller pool. Especially considering how often people use the same male on lots of stuff, it seems you'd be more likely to get the pheno you'd like?.

I think weekly is too much. Maybe a good update every couple weeks with a lighter update weekly.

I guess it depends how much you're documenting. If you're trying to update full packs of 5 or 6 different strains it's overwhelming for you and the reader.
I feel like weekly is pretty good after the first two or three weeks of flower. I usually do weekly and hope it's not too much for people. When you get into full on flowering a week makes a big difference in some strains and sometimes not so much in others. Depends I guess, sorry I didn't really persuade one way or the other lol. I'm pretty drunk and fucking high as hell so I guess I'm just saying weekly is good for me mostly lolllll

So less variances on the s1 due to breeding it back to itself. But more on the crosses. That was what I was sort of thinking but not sure.
That's why Heisen said he was most excited about the crosses.

Thanks for that Influx.

or did plans change all together with the new forum?
I figured everything is still in production at the moment....i guess Im just trying to keep up with the happenings here haha
