That's all it is - bio-mimicry. Trying to bring the outdoors in.

I'm still a stubborn bastard though because they tell me that 5g pots are too small. Fuck 'em, it's twice as big as what I did grow in, I'll make that shit work! :ROFLMAO:
You widen the margin for error in anything smaller than 10-gallon pots in organic gardening like your no-till system but you don't veg out very long so smaller pots should work for you. Your last few grows have looked good to harvest

If I was in organic I would build tables and put treated 2x12s and grow in the boxes. Spend a year amending the soil, mushroom compost, roots organic soil to add loam and the sand, grass clippings composted in a hot box.
That would be my setup. Add floraflex to keep them watered and never have to do anything else.
I think the issue with true organic in pots is half the good shit is running out the bottom before it gets good.
My only issue with that is running a bunch of regs. They're half grown by the time I can sex them and get them in a bed - or I'm culling an unknown numbe of males and leaving wasted space in the bed. I have two flower tents and may end up with one of each.

edited: oh, I don't have any run-off.

@Heisenbeans - on the monsanto thing, When the budweiser weed floods the market the price drops on the good shit, or the seeds used to grow it. You should care. As far as conservative-ism it's about small business over big Farma
They never will because it will never make it past the federal level. If the banks won't cash there checks they will never enter that Market.
If they ever do than you won't have to buy Greenpoint seeds from Greenpoint, you can get them from Walmart. There will always be a place for high end genetics no matter who enters the market. SEO controls that corner of the market.

They have contracted test-grows right now in rec-legal states looking for sexually stable uniform crops that can be harvested with a combine. They are playing the long game. Federal decriminalization is a big money maker at all levels. Those corrupt bastards will all fold eventually - or die.

The interesting thing will be how it plays out with the fine weed market. How many small seed companies will cash out when offered the big bucks? Some will. They will own great genetics and some guy that has a PhD in plant biology will destroy them in the quest for that Michelob of budweisers... 😁

Others will get more cash being consultants and stop breeding their own stuff.

There will always be a spot but the market is like that for the small percentage of people that go buy a bottle of fine wine compared to those that get the expensive $19.99 bottle at wal-mart when they want to splurge.

Maybe those that vacate the scene make room for those that stay? Better market share.

Who knows, but it'll be federally legal at some point in the near future and the stage will already have been set for the most part.

Don't care what you read they cannot bank with any bank outside of that state if it has anything to do with cannabis. The banking system is holding them all back. You think wells Fargo is gonna bank roll your cannabis operation lol. NO.
They are all at a stand still until the feds make it legal. For now it's mom n pop banks, bitcoin and mesh.

I am talking about when it is federally legal. That's the only thing holding the banks back. These guys dump millions into research and development. And once it's legal they'll dump 10 times that into marketing.

It won't make it to a federal level any time soon. Who's gonna pass it? Biden lol. Kamala? Trump? DeSantis. None of them are.
GOP actually floated a shiity bill, but a bill for federal decriminalization. It was wonky as hell but it showed their hand. Those fucks want power as much as the other guys, and Nancy Reagan's just say no generation is fucking high right now.

But it's one of those things where it's so shitty that the 'compromise' could end up being just taking it off the narcotics schedule list and admitting it was a fucking plant all along.

I'm a hermit, I have seeds and I don't need Botanicare. Let them have their fun.

Have you actually done any real research why people hate monsanto? As a conservative I'm surprised you follow the environmental wack job haters. They are no worse than other big corporations that pollute, sell out , he'll the gas you pump in your car is tanked here from American hating jihads but you still give them your money and drive where u need to go. Not turning this into a huge debate but I find a lot of folks hate this company and don't even know why. No hate here man. If you wanna grow with worms and shit it's all good. Just was wondering what exactly is a beneficial weed.
any plant whose uses are not yet discoverd?

Plants compete for nutrients in the soil with other plants. Why we pull weeds around other plants, they consume the nutrients and water that are supposed to go to the plants I want.
Maybe some hippy bro science organic shit but I can't see any benefit personally to any other plants in the same root zone as the plants I wanna grow.

Here's my update, just starting to take root from the up pot.

The purpose of the cover crop is to provide a living mulch layer that keeps the top layer of soil from compacting and drying out. From what I’ve learned, it doesn’t make much of a difference unless you are growing in large beds, but it looks nice and the plants people grow for cover don’t really compete for nutrients or have roots that get big enough to cause any issues to the plant. People grow clover as cover crops in their outdoor veggie gardens because it prevents the sun from baking the soil around the plants that aren’t large and full enough to shade the soil.
