I had the same impression of the VSL when I first chopped it. I think it's close to a landrace and you get what you get. The buzz is great regardless of how "instagram" the flowers are.
. I mean two ounces. LOL.

Beautiful buds! Had to come and bless your thread, great title and great book, I have been an official "Stone Grower" for most my life, first book I ever had, didnt even have the book, just a photocopy of all the pages. I remember being a young buck reading them pages over and over and over. 2017 found a new minted copy still in plastic in Hamilton Ont at the "book shop" that doesn't sell seeds. nope.

Yeah that one has the original cover, the one I have is 10th printing 1996, I think any Canadian grower over 40 would say this is/was the bible. Our club logo says "stone growers" that's how much this book meant to me. I searched for it for quite a while found alot of bad copies online, but this copy was just sitting for 21yrs untouched on a back shelf in the plastic sleeve. What a find!

Lookin' good @Old ST1R. Will be interested in yer take on the VSL. Was gifted a pack but don't usually grow regs. Could change that if..... well...you know. Haven't grown any "real" sativa (the myth is that this was the real gig) since...oh....geez......what the fuck is that guy's name? Hmmm.... (Towelie takes hit)....oh...yeah......since maybe 2000 or so when "Shanti" (was that a big enough hit? I think that's right) made the fabled and muy hyped "Mango Haze"....
Took 18 weeks. Had big..kinda airy....sandalwood/floral type buds. Lotsa buds.
"No ceiling" is what they tagged it as having for a high.....I was super stoked. It was quite the wait......and then...quite the dissappointment. The 'no ceiling" was true...cus you could smoke that shit all day and never truly get high. This one came in second .....behind the once circulated and highly touted POS cut "with an 8 hour high" called "Vision Thai" that I wasted a buncha weeks on as well......LOL.....as the worst weed I've ever had the pleasure of wasting time on.
I have far more faith in this offering....so like I say...i'm interested in hearing your take. Looks VERY nice. Good job.

The VSL is still curing and I did share a j of it with some friends a few weeks ago, but at the time we were pretty far into the drinks, so I can’t really give any good feedback on it yet. I think it’ll be good for next weekend and I’ll report back.
I did however enjoy some of the Orange Blossom Special. It’s got great potency and definitely leans towards the Stardawg. Not much Orange there to speak of, yet, and has that “floor cleaner/chemical smell. It’s super pungent when smoked and the high lasts a good while. Definitely top shelf stuff.

So, here’s my report on the VSL.
Wow! I’d go into what it smells and tastes like, but I suck at that. Smells and tastes like weed. It’s potent! I only had a three puffs (maybe 4) and was pretty high for at least two hours.
Do you need to get shit done? Smoke some of this Vietnamese Silver Leaf! I couldn’t fucking sit still! I cleaned up the office, doing all the filing from about six months and cleaned up the catch-all counter (we all have one). My wife wants me to smoke more of it and clean the toilets! Maybe I took it down a little early and it might be a tad racy, but it was at 11 and a half weeks, and I needed the room. I will definitely grow it again.

I grew OBS for a year or so I had 3 phenos one taller with with loads of golf ball sized buds that according to a few were "to Orange" no such thing IMO one med sized that was stardog dominate and one pheno loaded with foxtailing I mean arm size bud that had no weight I made them all into hash...I sadly cloned the wrong one killed off the strong Orange girl damn stoners lol
Interested in your bodegas I have a couple packs would love some good bubblegum it's been a few years...I just started GP bubbles hoping to find some there think it would mix well with eso Orange berry smoothie I started at same time

I really like the Orange Blossom Special even though mine doesn’t have much, if any, Orange. Lots of Stardawg in it for sure. It’s got a great high.
I have never had any weed that had the bubblegum scent or flavor. Sure would like to though.

Had some Indiana bubblegum a few years back that made my mouth water great upbeat high nice and even I recently got a hankering for it again I never used to be into fruity stuff but that seems to be changing as I age lol
