H2O2 won't hurt the roots unless you pouring it straight onto them. It's actually beneficial because as it breaks down it separates into water and oxygen. I've used H2O2 throughout entire runs. I've also used bleach.

I have used both h2o2 and bleach also and i understand what you're saying.

The way i imagine this guy doing it is pouring 3% straight onto the roots. #h202poisoning

Just to be clear, I've done quick soaks in 3% h2o2 to clean hydro roots before. It'll take the brown color away for a few days.
