It is getting ridiculous. I have no issue with Hollywood making films with females in empowering roles but when they try to change stories, or history, by making female characters in place of men then it’s too woke for me. I don’t care how good the filming is, if I see a female general in charge of troops in a civil war or WWII setting I turn it off. It ain't just Disney - All Hollywood is 'empowered'. If there is a white guy he's a subservient feckless moron. I love women with skills and accomplishments. Be in charge and start a business. All good. But stop playing the "I'm a victim" card on one side and "I am woman hear me roar" on the other when the situation seems appropriate.

I just read all the books as a kid. probably over 100. The story was all there and they had to change it. They could have made awesome movies with the storyline already there for millenia - just pick a part of the history to make a movie about and go. CGI fixes anything you can't really do. It was a cash-cow and they now have a "new timeline" of history. Kind of what they try to do in America - change the history to meet the current narrative.
