Ya that's a sure fire sign something going on, on the inside when the sugar leaf dies.
Do dispo buy colas or do you take them all apart?
I can't stress to you all enough, you gotta twist the branching and bend and pull those "rot prone" flowers open. The sun will kill the mold. After the mold dries brown, a nice rain shower or heavy dew and the dead parts easily can be taken off and the rest can be saved.
As of harvest time. I haven't had anything more than a brown spot here and there.
I stayed on top of it and worked the flowers early on, anticipating for moisture.
They actually like a good shower in mid and late flower.
Don't be afraid to experiment with your plants, they can take it.
I'm not afraid of wet flowers.
Wind and Sun are your friends. lol
Seriously though, open those flowers up.
The sun kills the mold and the flower will shake it off.

I think that's a great idea! Wish I would have thought of it back then.
Though it would be hard to get to the ones in the middle of a 10'+ plant!
They can take a good thrashing for sure.
Every season come late sept. early oct. there would be multiple big wind and rain storms.
Watched em go thru 50+ mph winds and rain for hours at a time....welcome to the PNW!!

Smoke report on these 2 strains as i have the going now, looked good!
Hickock Haze turned out to be the tallest plant I have ever grown indoors (8 feet tall 🎄) with a nice and heavy yield of big buds that were exceptional. One of the best wake n bake strains I have ever smoked with a strong and euphoric high that gives you energy and creativity all at the same time.

Dreamcatcher grew like a bush and was also a very good yielder with good sized buds with some really nice blueberry terps. Another really good wake n bake smoke that goes fantastic with coffee.
Cheers, Z.
