This is the second time I've tried to clone and they've been duds. I think it might be an issue with my well water. Could be the reason I have trouble starting beans too. I followed the f^ckin instructions the f^ckin letter. I don't know what the f^ck the issue is. I'm gonna clear the cloner, collect half as many cuttings, switch to my tiny T5, and use store bought water. This is really starting to f^ckin piss me off.

I know if trying to clone in a cup of straight water, the water should be changed every few days. It might be worth trying something similar, and changing the water out every few days on the next round.
I monitored the temp and changed the water to keep it under 85F. I did everything exactly by the instructions. Except that I also used Clonex root gel and my research said it could only help. This next time I'll use my 7w 4200k T5, fresh spring water, and no rooting hormone.

I know we have extremely hard water here. When our ground water evaps it leaves a lot of scale. But it may be something even worse, the oaks and cedars on the property all look like sh*t.

My cousin (owner of the property) is dying of cancer that was found after moving here and his wife has had cancer here too. I don't drink the water here. This whole area is covered in mine tailings.

Great threat SJ. Some interesting insight as to why people are moving over here and why I've never had issues on the farm in my short time there, it must be because I grow mostly clone only stuff...

Only thing that really bugged me over there is the slow pace.. days can go by before there is any interesting new posts or replies to threads.. You can sense the decline.

Anyway nice grow, following along fo sho.

Sure, blame the solo problem on the water, I see how it is. Lmfao. 😜😜😜
I've found recently that my tap water is causing a .ca lockup for my K. Have not had that happen before to me. A new issue to handle. Lol
I'll be hooking up a big filter unit soon. Hopefully that will alleviate some issues.
Tbd.
Look up reverse osmosis filters on Amazon. Nice systems, great prices. I'm going to buy RO system and a unit that can adjust pH to up/down as soon as I can afford it. Going to try using it for pest control and low pH drinking water.

Thanks.

I could see the decline too. After Logic fired all the great mods for grumbling it went to sh*t. Heisen saw it coming. He seems happy here as well. I love that no one filters legit conversation here, especially re: trading.

...bet you guys thought I was goin to the store for spring water... f^ck that! I meant...

...fresh spring water...

...best drinking water I've ever tasted.

The sign says it's not tested but as I rolled up there was an Army Corp of Engineers dude checking it. Hahaha...

...this is the real deal. What water is supposed to be. A least 1,000 people stop by here every hot day and hundred's fill big dispenser bottles like mine. While I was loading my bottles 3 cars, 2 work crews, and a bicyclist stopped for water. Some people just filled their cups for a quick drink or splashed the Ice water on their heads. I stood there with my feet under it while I had it alone for a minute. I looooove Bitney spring.

Most likely Sudden Oak Death Syndrome. It's a huge problem in CA. Along with Bark Beetles. They're killing trees at an alarming rate in the Sierra's.

I just use rapid rooters, clonex, heat mat, incubation tray and dome. I may have had one or two clones not root out of 60+ so far. I hope your next run works out.

I did that last year and same problem. Nothing. Gotta be the water. Will start a new batch this evening. Won't be greedy this time and give em some space. I'll also be picky with what I cut. Be lookin for thin stalk and developed top leaves.

I've cloned roses before with no problem. I've had a real problem starting seeds here too and never did before living here. Some odd nute problems too. The water is the only common factor.

@SmithsJunk Temp and water maybe. I am having a time of that too but its turning around. Cold temps in the grow room were killing me before.

Since April 1 its been a learning curve but i am adapting...plants are flourishing....

For me it was temp and water. PH the water to 6.5 and then a better temp (20C or 78F) and things started really taking off. But a 16 oz solo cup scares the seeds to death. So im not there yet..

Maybe the seeds want a 20 OZ cup too...a proper solo cup.. I am not sure. I keep asking but they dont say anything.

That Jack is turning out ok. Mine were mutated for the first while and then they went all normal like but are stretching like a yoga master. Glad its over because they over doubled and im running out of clearance
This little 1 and 1 in the garden turned out well. The rest had some really funky leaf stuff goin on from root issues (I think). I read they were hard to grow, but the ones that are doin good are doin great. I'll happily continue taking clones till late summer.

I'll get this. I don't give up easily. The only reason I dropped out of the Solo comp instead of fixing the problem was cause I can better utilize the plants and lights in a more substantial endeavor. I'll need the light when I plant the clones so I cant spare it this time but do plan on buying another asap.
