My Bagseed Experiment

Few updates here and a question. Turns out my cat is big a pothead as my husband. Little shit snuck in the tent and ate a leaf. That isn't poisonous to him is it? He has been going wild ever since. I tried pulling my female out of the tent for a pic out of the LEDs but he kept trying to eat her. Well, I went downstairs to tell my husband and realized I had forgotten to zip the tent. Caught the little fucker in the act when I ran back up the stairs to zip it up. I zipped it up to waist height and went to the master bath with the little plant to take pictures. All of the sudden I hear a noise like a tent flap. I look over and he is trying to get in the tent. Mind you, he is 25lbs and could cause some wreckage.

So there is some leaf damage to my girl. Not a lot (only 2 leaves) but really I'm more worried about my cat. I got more pics of my little plant and its weird ball buds. And some of the female.

I popped 7 seeds all together. 5 have been put in solo cup size pots and the other 2 have broken their shells to send out their taproots. I'll check them again tomorrow. We shall see where that endeavor takes us.

First 4 pictures are of my female and her leaf damage and bud formation. The rest are of my little plant.

I am sure your cat will be fine. Now that the cat knows what is in there be very careful. They are well known for eating pot plants. Like @Old ST1R pluck those balls off of the small plant if you are going to hang on to it.

BE THE BALL
Them kitties, especially big dawgs like your 25 lb'er, can eat quite a bit...quickly. They are sativa freaks Avena sativa to be precise..which is oats. Cats will love you for it if you plant them some.

The half zipped tentflap is a challenge to a cat........what's bad, is the landing they make on your plants when they burst thru. Learned that the hard way..snap!

Both the plant and the cat will be fine.

That looks like a male flower in the eighth pic, but it’s pretty dark to tell for sure. Is that on the same plant where there are definitely pistils? If so, I would just pluck it off to be safe.
I've got other seeds in the metaphorical pot do I'm eventually getting rid of it. Right now I'm observing it until I need the space. I just wanna know what happens if they are a genetic hermie or if this is a case of pistils not forming on lower nodes.

And Thanks about my cat. I didn't think it was poisonous or had enough of anything in it to be dangerous but still. I can't have kids. I've had that cat for almost 10 years. He is my kid. He started going wild after he ate it though. First he got the munchies. Ate a ton of food and begged for treats. Then he got super energetic. Running around the house growling and pouncing on invisible enemies. Then came the tiredness. Passed out in the middle of the floor with his paws in the air like he was playing dead. I think he was a weak tolerance.

I'm going to be tossing it. I'm just observing it until i need the room. Or until it becomes a severe threat to my female. I want to gain as much experience as i can with oddities in case it happens again.

And my cat loves challenges. The snap is what I feared. He's a big boy and could destroy them just trying to smell them. I'm going to look into ordering some of that. Distract him from my tent. One claw in that thing and in screwed. Technically I could tape it but the damage he could do just stretching would take a whole roll.

Might be getting a bit repetitive but the gals are doing well. I do have a slight concern about the 2 lowest leaves on my big girl. I did pull them off as they were very droopy, only 3 bladed, and looked like it was their time. For good advice's sake, they were not touching soil and never have. They were the literal bottom leaves. They were not getting any light from my main source due to upper foliage but they did have light from the side light I put in the tent. None of the other leaves are affected at all.

So some of the leaves around my newly forming buds are starting to get frost! I was very happy to see this.

I'm running some testers for @SCJedi that I am posting in his Jedi's Junkyard Journal. I also popped 1 of the white widow gems as well. I'm going to be starting a new journal to include that and all of my future grows as it does not seem fair to my new plants to be put under my bagseed banner. Obviously this one is still going to be rolling for a while as I have a ways until harvest and smoke 🚬💨💨

@Seed of Memory 🤭🤘🏼👊🏼💪🏼😜how are the lilun's looking ?!??
You popped more seeds too, yeah?!
I tagged you in the journal for them. They are moving quick. I'm stoked to see them doing so well. I've decided perpetual is the way to to for us so I'll pop some more in 3 weeks or so depending on the growth habits of these little ones. I've got some of the tester cherry vanilla skunk x mystery box as well as more of the granny skunk x mystery box. Then I have Skunk XL, Kryptonite, white OG, and some more of the freebie white Widow.

Finally got some decent pictures of the girls without them being at risk of my cat eating them. They look good. Rolling right along. I have another set of leaves on the small one now that have the same issues as the leaves I previously posted. Looks like I have a small amount of nute burn on my big girl as well though hell knows how as I do quarter strength nutes maybe 1 out of 3 waters. Ppm meter will be here by Christmas.

I don’t see anything on your leaves to be concerned about, in fact if you are feeding only one of three, I would switch that to 2 out of three or three out of four and step up the strength to at least half or even three quarters of bottle recommendations.

The edges of the bottom half of the plant are burnt looking on my big girl. And i had some issues that if you go to the top of this page you will see. Some Brown and yellow spotting and well as a loss of pigment on one. Mind you, they were the bottom leaves on the plant and do not receive a lot of light.

I'll up the nutes though. I'm on fox farm tiger bloom plus ocean forest soil for the big plant.

They look well fed to me. In fresh FFOF I'd barely be fertilizing. Your schedule currently, sounds about right.
I agree. Pushing extra nutes because they look good isn't usually a good idea. If they start showing more yellow than green they are showing a general lack of everything and need fed. The trick is to not let them get to that point, but to not feed them too much. You have to be like Nostradamus and shit ;)

Stick to 25%. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

BUT - I use FF nutes. Look at the recommended feeding schedule. You should be hitting it with the Big Bloom every feeding, along with whatever else. That is the only one of the trio that you really don't have to worry about overfeeding. Think of the organic stuff like taking multi-vitamins. If you take a little more than you need, your pee gets yellower (run-off with excess nute-content), but it really doesn't do any harm.
