Ya the desirable cuts are supposed to be fruity.. not my cut was potent tho.I thought C99 was pineapple?
I wasnt that impressed with c99. For how legendary that cross is i figured it would be load but its not at all. Very frosty and dumps hash but low terps.Ya the desirable cuts are supposed to be fruity.. not my cut was potent tho.
My bad tho.. now that I’m thinking about it the rubbery one might have been a ISS x c99.. disregard my dilusional rantings. Never listen to me, just watch for the bud porn
I agree. Found the high special tho for sure. Could be it’s like an old hair metal band. Classic shit don’t get me wrong, but not exactly cutting edge, mentality challenging as some more modern musicians. Still puts you in a certain classic mood tho when ac/dc or montley crew are banging those same worn out chords and rhythms.I wasnt that impressed with c99. When you talk about plugs do you mean those jiffy pellet things? I saw them at my local garden center. I recently used rapid rooters and have seen 100% success rates with them. 8 out of 8 popped. One I just put in I don't believe will but that is due to the maturity of the seed, not the medium it is in. My husband wanted me to try and pop it. Anyway, do you have the tray it is pictured with?SCJedi sorry man...i ran out of rapid rooters and had peat plugs...seed murdering substrate should be banned !
I tore em apart and have 4 active seeds with tap roots. They went into rapid rooters....Instead of tossing the peat plugs i burned them to show my displeasure.
Rockwool i am trying that next. Maybe ITS the bomb....but a rapid rooter works for me 100% of the time..
So i have 49 left. It will last me until March break at this pace >D
Sorry that I missed your post until just now. The swirling, dense growth and looks of re-vegetative growth are all patterns of the Granny Skunk. Make sure that you thin them out significantly at some point or you'll pay the price.Update going in to week 5. They are really starting to get bushy with the majority of them having barely any gaps in internodal spacing. In one of the collages is my white widow, which you can tell by the white tag so please disregard.
Some of the growth on these tends to come out in a swirling pattern. I'm also having some odd growth that looks like re-veg with no serrations on the leaf edges. Though they are on 24-0 with no dark periods to bounce them into a re-veg as they have never been in flower.
All in all however, they are responding very well. They are growing short and bushy which is great for my indoor space. They do well with the FF trio for nutes with a weekly foliar feed.

Someday I will pay someone to do this stuff.
PreciousI love the shiny pack...it makes me feel all gollum about it
Glad to get you here because I was about to ask you another question. What is the growth stretch I should expect out of the granny skunk crosses? I'm debating on when to switch them to flower to control my space issues.Sorry that I missed your post until just now. I was really hoping to see more Mystery in these so that I knew WTF it was that tagged my outdoor scene this year.
What is the aroma or stem rub? Eucalyptus and Pine?
Edit to note that you may really have helped me here. I was pheno hunting Granny Skunk males and had them downwind about 200 feet away. I figured all would be OK but I bet your plants may really be Granny Skunk F2s
Pine is the GSK for sure. Mine started off sweet and then moved on to pine and eucalyptus. Yes, smooth serrations is from one of my Granny Skunk males. This is him slowed down in low light. He is kinda pissed off and grumbly right now.Glad to get you here because I was about to ask you another question. What is the growth stretch I should expect out of the granny skunk crosses? So the swirling and smooth edged leaves are normal for this strain? I was freaking out man. Lmao. Thanks for that because I thought I had trashed your genetics somehow and couldn't figure it out.
So to help with the search for the father: The scent from the stem is a very sharp piney scent. Leaf smell as of this moment is still kind of a fresh cut grass scent. They are tending to grow in a swirl pattern at the top of the plants with a more parallel balance below that top layer. Non-serrated leaves are almost exclusively close to the main stem and are the side leaves to the main branches. They respond well to a feed of about 800 ppm and aside from transplant, have not shown any leaf issues. The main stems are all around 5mm now and are not bendy in the slightest bit. Depending on your answer about the flower stretch they could be going to 12-12 within the week.
Edit: 2 of them are also what I've been referring to as wavy leaf types. No other signs of stress but the leaves have a natural wave in them. And 1 is growing with the top leaves spreading wide with the undergrowth tucked very close to the main stem. There is barely Any internal space as some of them aren't higher than 4 inches but are bushy enough to cover the whole top of a 2.5 qt pot.
I'll keep you updated with any scent changes to nail down the genetics. I really hope it is an F2. Or even if we can figure out the second half of the genetic structure. It is like a puzzle to me.
