Looking great!
I like how watching grows as a spectator is like watching a good football game. #2 was slated to win the whole time, and now #1 is throwing up a hail mary pass deep.
Thanks.

Yeah, she's the Cinderella story of the new decade, the come from behind girl (not the Thai types Big Perm likes), the perennial underdog that gets her moment in the sun.

Week 8, day 1.

The girls are trucking along. RD#1 has been surprising me, she's packed a substantial amount of weight recently. I had estimated #2 would yield roughly double, but I don't think that will be the case anymore.

Group shot. RD #1 left, #2 right

RD #1. You can see a bit of bleaching on the top of the flower here. They stretched a bit more than I was expecting/prepared for.

Got a bit of color creeping into the calyx area. I'm loving the look of her.

In all honesty, as much as I'm liking the fact that #2 has the yeild, I'm liking #1 more overall; to me she looks nicer visually, she has a nicer smell, and she has better frost coverage. Neither one are frost monsters like some buds I see posted here, but I think they have respectable trich coverage.

That's all for this week. This one is coming to a close pretty soon. My expectation was 10 weeks, and I imagine it will be right around that mark.
Dude, that's a nanner.

Week 8 is over, we are on day 1 of week 9.

Not much of a picture update today. As things are progressing, things are going just a tad sideways. Light intensity has been causing bleaching, taco leaf and (I think) foxtailing. So, sub-optimal for sure, but overall I'm still pleased with how things are going.

So that's where we are. I have things to work on going forward, but what else is new? :ROFLMAO:

As an addendum...

I'm thinking #1 is going to hit right around 70 days. #2...80?...80+? I guess we'll find out.

Also, the veg tent is going strong. I have a clone of each Rainbow Driver in there as well as my 8 Mr Nice Black Widow seed plants. After topping the seed plants, they have bushed out something fierce. Their health has recovered as well since boosting the calcium in their feed.

That RD clone on the left...she's going gangbusters towards the light.

And you can see the engine behind the veg tent. HLG 288 v1 in 5000k. Running at right around 100 watts. That board is a beast...and blinding if you don't wear shades.

Y'all see the UFO? :alien:

Looking good Joe. That RD#1 is running even with my bagseed. How long do you think you have until harvest? You like the HLG boards?
Thank you.

I'm thinking 1-2 weeks on #1, not even making a prediction on #2. :cautious:

HLG boards are awesome, I do like them. I'm moving away from boards going forward for the main tent though, I'm gearing up to do a strip build. Quantum Boards are great, don't get me wrong, but their glaring weakness is coverage...it's good, but not great. If you go back to my updates from previous weeks showing the whole tent, you should be able to see the sides are taller than the middle, not coincidentally the boards are positioned above those spots. Without diffusion, LEDs are quite focused directionally, in plain English: they don't have great spread for coverage.

That was a long answer to a simple question. Pardon my rambling. :ROFLMAO:

I just appreciate the feedback. Thanks. And I was thinking the same for my girl. I was hoping this weekend but that seems unlikely.

Well friends...yesterday I found some mold growing on a couple buds. I cut those out and tonight I'm chopping tops. A bit early, but better an early harvest than no harvest.

Here we have some Rainbow Driver #1 trimmed. This is about as quick and dirty a trim job as I've ever done, but everything on there is frosty, so we're good.
