Our oral history is not being passed, on to younger people.

I've been thinking a lot about that for awhile. Sometimes its hard to get older folks to tell their stories too.
I think it would be cool to create a all ages day care for seniors who don't really need to go to assisted living and kids could learn from them learning gardening, soap making, cooking, any useful knowledge that isn't taught in schools. I don't think they even have Home Ec anymore
I have learned a lot online but person to person learning sticks better and you have memories of those people who taught you forever
We've lost a serious amount of herbal knowledge from witch hunting

the peeps next door caught me siting under the pine tree row shooting free meat with my crossbow,she is my age and told me to shoot a bunch,i ask if they wanted a few dressed, she pipes up hell no, i ate enough wild meat growing up,as they left going to town to eat out. now ,i hunt the pines and the pecan trees also. we got a couple of inches of snow this morning . deer season started this morning ,it did'nt stick to the roads, the pavement is too warm for much to stick .got to get the big crossbow( the bow has been on the front porch for several days) out and go sit in the blind and wait for a few till i get too cold.

i started with with a recurve back in the late60's then they started to make the first bows with wheels, u had to be carefull that you did;nt knock a c clip off a axel , then came the cam shaped wheels, things ,really speeded up from there. todays equipment is really forgiving , for a newbie, most kids can't string a recurve these days, or they look at u like you are from uranus .

my go to ,sence auther took my elbows and rotator cuffs ,my doc says no more compound bows, thus the crossbow @least i still get to hunt, hopefully for another 15 years or till i can't go anymore.

My boys and I are enrolled Native Americans 30 years ago when my boys were young I tried to get the language tapes/videos so they could learn fizz like pulling teeth elders wouldn't help reality the language and oral lessons are disappearing has sunk in nowadays effort to teach has improved almost to late some stories, words and specific medicine plants are lost forever

We collected a couple bull elk over weekend we normally process them all ourself but due to my covid bullshit and an overly aggressive bear breaking into shop wanting free meat we brought them to butcher damn bear busted the place up! Can't shoot Griz here or we be having it cut up too!

best to have a backup plan ,and another set of eyes,yes i have had of real good ,hunts with recurves . as age is catching up shoulders and elbows have made me ,move to other equipment.

Yeah the indigenous plant medicine, has been forgotten for too long now, I believe there is a resurgence taking place. The Amazonian tribes had a recent ayahuasca meeting talking about this. The Lakota over the last few years are teaching the younger generation the language to try and save it. I am not Native, I was in a relationship with a Lakota woman for awhile, she taught me about bear root Osha root. I use it in herbal syrups and chew on it for cold or vid symptoms, I was told it is considered a Tobacco among some tribes and they do smoke it from time to time, Its popularity has exploded and some are now worried about over harvesting.
I do understand that some Elders are still not willing to share their Knowledge, I don't blame them I guess considering how everything went down.
But like you said once certain knowledge is lost, it's lost.

Some new borns
Maters planted in a straight mix for a test I have Lab results on the way for this mix so I can dial it in for this next round
I think I may have added too much compost on the last mix so I will see what this one says.
A friend of mine transplanted some tomatoes in the mix and they curled their leaves so now I feel bad, although I didn't mix it for tomatoes.
I mixed 9 Cubic foot 5 parts peat, 2 parts compost 2 parts aeration, and amendments.
germinated 5 PBN Profit--WGS 4 sprouted planted 11/6 with tomatoes, 1 PBN Profit is in uncut mix 1 in cut mix 50/50 soil blend--coco and perilite
in clear cups to compare root growth
Planted on 11/12
Planted 7 Paid Vacation--PineHurst all 7 sprouted
and 3 feminized Purple Cake--Greenpoint Only one sprouted so far and it popped in 2 days I haven't lost faith in the other 2 yet but its been 7 days now...
all of these were planted in the cut 50/50 blend
from left to right Paid Vacation, In the smaller red cups, Purple Cake in one red cup 2 in the smaller black pots, and PBN Profit in the big red cups and square planters on the end.

CBD Infused honey 1200MG per 4 oz jar. Isolate and distillate I was curious to see if the distillate/full spectrum would mix well or settle out
its sat for a few days now and I can see some CBD crystals in the bottom unless the honey is crystallizing too I know it will it tastes really good though the distillate gives it a Terpy taste but isn't overwhelming
CBD infused MCT and Hempseed oil with a little lecithin, Isolate and distillate, I also like to use "Hemp" flowers to infuse into the MCT before adding the concentrates.

Looks like some good medicine. I like the honey idea but I have been abstaining from sugar in my diet.

Thanks man, this was the first attempt at mixing it with honey. I have plenty of honey and CBD so its worth a shot. I put some in some tea and it causes the CBD to stick to the mug, I was afraid that might happen.
Next batch I'm going to try to mix it with glycerin first it'll be more soluble in glycerin and the glycerin then should mix well with honey.
Drop it in some tea and see what it does.
Some people don't like eating the oil "tinctures"
I've been trying to avoid using alcohol
I want to make some gummies out of the infused honey.

Had to chop the Williams Wonder lady a little early. Last week I noticed a couple nanners, picked em off, and every couple days a couple popped up, so I was picking em off and last night over night it popped all of these out so I just had to chop her.
Kind of bummed I would have liked her to actually finish she had the energy left to go longer and was healthier looking then the clones are right now
