Led area is definitely prettier, but same size cuts flowered at the same time won’t yield 1/4 under the same or more light intensity in the led/Cmh from the looks of it. Sort of interesting. It would literally have to be 4-5x as dense to make up for the lack of stacking and bud production. bit the flowers are crazy pretty under the leds. Colors and leaves are also totally different. The leds should be 3 days ahead as well.

Interesting observations. I saw that LED had much higher frost than HPS head to head. When combined with CMH, some of the HPS plants have been forming more frost than the LED/CMH.
Do you think side lighting could help with the LED lack of stacking? From the pics it looks like the lights are higher than they probably are. I've always wondered about under lighting too. Make a lighted waterproof floor lol

I go by par light intensity at the canopy, not light height so it’s irrelevant. Unless I supplement co2 everything is already more or less at light saturation (900-1200umole) so it shouldn’t really matter if I add side lighting or not in theory. I will say the led is in a 3gal vs 5gal I think in the hps room. That may explain some of it.
