They have 6 acres in NW Oregon, 5 of which are 30 yr Doug firs.Man they look healthy, and also looks to have a beautiful spot in country surrounded by sum kind of pine or cedar trees..
Don't have alot of those trees that big around here..

They have built quite a little homestead, so proud of them!
Another 30 years and they will have some extra retirement money.
The large timber was cut 30yrs ago.looks like a corperation grow for paper pulp!
If you replant the state gives you a huge tax break, they supply the trees.
So they pop a 3 to 4 yr young Douglas fir in the ground every 10 ft.
They are in the process of thinning for future growth.
Son in law bought a decent sawmill and has turned out a lot of timbers and lumber.
