The cmh blast uv in stellar fashion but it still didnt "blow" the hps away with frost. Pretty much same same.
Im in the camp that uv supplementation is hype. The theory would have to be that the plant produces more thc to protect itself against the rays. With the little amount of research I've done (one search and one website, lol) I've found that the reasons they produce thc...
- Defending against insect herbivores
- Defending against frost in colder habitats
- Minimizing water loss in windy habitats
- Preventing of overheating in dry, open habitats
- Attracting pollinators or prey

UV supplementation has been proven to increase the thc%, not trich count as much as the strength of the trichs i think.
There is a research paper out of the University of Utah that tested it out.
And not by a little its quite a bit. I like watching those videos when i am high. It is an elevated experience.
