I'll try to remember to take the camera down to the garage @Bobby Legit ...but they are doing OK. I found my hi/low digital thermostat controller and got a temp reading yesterday.... 65F with one light on. Garage is hovering around 50F right now cus it's been really warm outside for December (55f). They probably get a bit cool during lights out...but it is what it is. No stress here over this shit. Pot plants grow outside AOK in similar temps.

Star of the show so far is the Snowbound...Afghan Cherries x Diesel. There's some serious vigor here. I have 7 Platinums in all stages of growth. A few are rockin just behind the Snowbound...a few are still trying to figure out they are supposed to grow into real plants. Should be a good peek.

All-in-all...I'm just trying to find my passion again for all of this. It's too easy to just go through the motions after all of these years. One of these days I'll realize I don't need 40 pounds of pot per harvest. Maybe. :ROFLMAO:

I'm not stressing over the cool temps....but the plants might be. Kinda starting to see a bit of "off" on a few. Slight curling...leaf color getting a bit funky... C'mon Summer.....egads...

I don't know fuck about growing under these lights...but in reading a bit...seems there can be Cal/Mag issues... but I also see that cool temps may be the cause. Folks said they got temps up to mid 70's or around 80 and things righted. I've never been one to toss Ca/Mag on my plants. Always...to me...seemed like there was something else going on and folks just ran to that bottle...possibly making things worse.

I snuck a tower heater in there last night during lights out...but fuck me...I'm just not gonna run heaters to grow pot under these lights. That kills any electrical savings whatsoever, IMO. I'll go back to hps if that's the case. So today I'm gonna fire up panel #2 even though they are all covered well under only one panel....and see if I can get some decent temps in there from my outlay of cash for electricity. I'm also going to hook my tents together once the 3 x 3 arrives....and see if that helps. I ran in an unheated house that was @ 10,500 ft for quite a few years but I had 2 bloom rooms running 2-3K HID in each room...on opposing 12/12 schedules and that kept things toasty warm 24/7.

Gonna get even more fun when I go to 12/12.

Had a tent in the garage... back when I had a garage.
Normal off light temps were in the middle to upper 60s.
Cold spell came thru and dropped those down to low 50s.
Didn't appear to bother them for a couple days, then my 2 Cheap Thrill plants started the droop.
Thought they were just over watered....looked like it.
I had just watered the day before the cold.

Warmed up and everything seemed back to normal.
Come harvest time both of the CT had a few male flowers hidden away......surprise dumb fuck it wasn't over watering!
Blasted the whole tent.....well live and learn!!

A buddy gave me a pack of those Ct's that he got pre-release from Rusty. I popped em and had OK luck...no herms/etc....but the flower was kinda lackluster/perfumy stuff for my tastes. In the same pack were Hurkle seeds. Those were a different story. One of those >one day all OK<....the next day >boy fest< gigs. Fortunately I caught it early....

Hopefully another panel will bring things up to snuff here in the tent. Or another panel and the hps...:ROFLMAO: Then I gotta start the daily fires to cover the lights out periods. I'm gonna make it work one way or the other.

2 Melonsicles and a Pisthash tailin' and planted this AM after 36 hours in the Bioset. Good to see. As I said...I've never had much luck planting seeds w/o seeing tails. They always sit...and sit...and sit...then you go find them and they have that nice white goo coming out rather than a tail.

Lights are in. I've just been too busy to drive to the PO and pick em up. No word on the tent yet. It's evidently coming direct from AC. Tray is in route.

Added in the 2nd panel. Fuckers still suck some power cus the fan dropped a notch when I kicked #2 on. LOL. We'll see what it does to the temps/plants. Pretty sure the bitches just need some sweaters.

My OSB had zero orange smell....did give me nice little male flowers though!
Same here on the OBS. I’ve got some Tangie Blood beans (Tangie x Orange Blood), only grew one of em and it was really orangey. I need to pop more of em, too many beans and not enough time!!! Or space, lol
Maybe it was Tangie x Blood Orange?
[/QUOTE]
I had the best orange flower this year.
Plants were close to each in structure and taste, and mostly production. Pretty damn stable. Lets see what the offspring can offer me.
What it is and where it came from, I can't say, but the offspring deserve #1 spot of our 6-plant limit, legal seed drop.
Now for the Ohio "heirlooms", that's all I'm saying.

Woot...glad to see you so stoked for legal growin'/etc. @NoWaistedSpace . Hmmmm....I think I smell a skunk:ROFLMAO:

Snagged the liddle lights at the PO. LOL...everything is so small in this LED realm. Should be fun though. Gives me other ideas....for down the way.

With the 2nd 600 panel on "High"...cus we only run on high here...temp in the tent is approximately a lovely 77F. I'll fuck around and add a cycle timer in on the fan to exchange some air...but it'll be minimal or I'll screw the pooch....especially since it isn't even cold yet. For now I'm gonna let em bake.
Hopefully a few warm days will get things partying to a respectable level in there.

Bake sounds too hot and dry. lol
At least I "pressure cook" my soil.
Sounds warm and moist. 😉 :coffee:😆
Stick the cooker in the tent while the casserole cools.
Almost as good as an Amish bed warmer.

Gotta keep the lid on tight, it's to keep the microbes from trying to escape. lol

These tents are just factory seconds from the mini-sauna industry anyway...LOL. They didn't work as tanning booths either....so here we are...flash frying plants in confined spaces...

LOL....I had a few 3 cu ft bags of Roots 707 and a 4 cu ft bag of perlite left over from the Summer grow...so no Shake and Bake shit here:ROFLMAO:.

Bitches seem far happier today.

Tent is here. Didn't even see the UPS guy drop it off. Went out to get some firewood and there it was. Will see what it's all about later today. Never thought I'd buy another one...but here we are. More junk for the future....

Tray order...cancelled. "RASA hydroponics"...I didn't think they'd make any money for what they wanted for the tray and shipping...but THEY set the prices on their website. Nope...can't ship it for that so we're just cancelling your order...(and any future business). WTF. Guess I'll head to the shop/call the shop in town and see what they want for one. Hate to buy a new one...cus you know how it is...they are either gold...or trash. (feast or famine...LOL)
It's always somethin'...always.

Last wave of seeds are up. 3 for 3. Who says you can't start seed/seedlings under full light? I just sat em off to the side a bit and they seem to be loving life. These lights aren't as bright as the Sun here....and seedlings love the sunshine...so no worries here.

Anything with Mimosa or Clementine in it will give you nice orange terps. I grew Clearwater's "Morning Remedy" (Mimosa x Mai Tai) and it was very nice....as was Tony Green's "Orange Grapefruit Rabbit Hole". And I know some folks will remember Useful's "Bag of Oranges".

Triangle Kush crosses take things into the Lemon realm. I grew Tri-Fi-Pucker from Cannarado...Triangle Kush x Wi-fi (43) x Lemon somethin'...and it was serious Lemon Pledge that stuck on yer tongue.

Counting on/hoping that the Chernobyl's will spill the lime slurpee terps all over the place...but I've yet to get to the end to see what those are about.

I'm sure others have their recs too. I know I've seen a lot of folks grow GPS Orange Blossom special...but I never have cus they are regs.

It's good to get more fruit in your diet!
i know mimosa x grape ape was straight up orange, no grape to it.

So how much light is too much light? Anyone? I'm wayyy behind on getting with it on these lights. I know HID like the back of my hand when it comes to operation/mixing it up/dropping the right light into the mix and running em close... but these LED's are...or seem to be...the exact opposite in many regards. Only 20-30 watts per sq ft for bloom? Really? No shit? Am I reading this right? Wow.

So 18 sq ft needs 540 watts....max?? I see some mention of "Kelvin"...but not all lights/manufacturers list the output in K. Just purty graphs and shit.
The wife said I can do whatever I want...LOL....like I needed permission...but it is good to not give a fuck about the $$ and any flack that may come down the way. I need to spend money on this shit like I need a hole in my head (OK...another hole)...but hey...I could be lookin at new trucks...

I was going to do a 2 tier system...one above the other. 2 lights...2 - 3 x 3 areas. However...when I set the tent up...I noticed instantly it's not all that tall. Not even 6 ft. So...in all actuality with that approach in mind...there's more height with it laying down than standing up. The 2- Atreum 100's will cover the area for veg...sorta....(LOL)...but I'm trying to decide if one more of those is needed...or even something a bit larger. You can always turn em down...right?

Still blown away to see BIG rooms with the lights all 5-6 ft above the plants. Sure is a clean look without all of the big ass hoods in the mix...but... yeah... different.

Found 2 "Condensate trays" @ Homo Depot (don't usually shop there cus of the ....yeah....that thing/those people...) that are 3' x 3' x 3" deep for $50 each....far cheaper than hydro trays...LOL. Should work exactly the same way. Ah.....weed cash. Drives the price of everything up even when you aren't making any.

Fuckin Old Dinosaurs...

Thanks @treefarmercharlie . I may have to come up with a meter @ some point. All I can really reference are the charts they give w/ the light specs for various heights/etc.

My "how much" comment was more about wondering if a person should buy more light than the space they are targeting needs (for future needs/etc) >>>because<<< all of these lights can be dimmed to the point that fits the needs of current the space >>IF<< the light is big enough?

I have a few ideas in my head I'm still sussing out. In an >almost< 3' x 6' area the 2 Atreum lights will veg "OK"...but I'd be severely limited for any bloom action. Yes...it'll be tight >heightwise<...but i did start my grow experience in a crawlspace...with 1000 HID....so this is all kinda taking me back as it pushes me forward...LOL. Definitely the "old dog, new tricks" thing.... 🐶 Just looking at options/etc.
