No I have a bunch of 315s sprinkled into my de and led spaces. 315s make everything frostyAre you running any DE CMH? I thought I saw a single ended one.
All kinda variety, sick AF mang
I am considering replacing my 2 Philips 3100K SE with some DE 315s and some cheap DE wings. Just wanted to see if you had any experience or know if there's a big diff between SE and DE CMH, I don't see them often. There are also CMH 3100K with red as well as 10000K that look interesting. No I have a bunch of 315s sprinkled into my de and led spaces. 315s make everything frosty

Thanks for the insight. 315 DE bulb is $20 more than a Philips SE, and the DE wing reflector is less than $40. That's about the same price I can get for a used mogul socket HPS hood and CMH adapter. I'm running one SE bare bulb and one SE in a horizontal hood HPS hood. If I could bare bulb the DE CMH I would try. I intend on using it along with LED because I do like what CMH has brought to the table, frosty fuzzy-trich, dense ass nugs.I have experience with the 630 de...
There’s is a difference between set and de but not as big of a difference as hps se to de. I like using g 315s over 630s because you can use twice as many. I wasn’t aware there made de cmh in 315, seen the 1ks though and they look rediculous. Bulbs cost more than a 315 fixture and bulb though on top of the fixture thats 2-3x the cost. I’d probably use more cmh if it was more cost effective. I don’t really like using cmh on outs own though.... some strains seem to love it, others... not so much where as everything just sort of grows under hps.
You think I can covert my commercial 315se to de? They’re pretty easy to take apart . I like cmh but I don’t think I’d use it for the main light in any space. It’s a great addition to pretty much anything, but I have issues I don’t have in any other system if I’m running certain strains under straight cmh. Thanks for the insight. 315 DE bulb is $20 more than a Philips SE, and the DE wing reflector is less than $40. You probably could but looks like you got shitload of lights to replace lol. So far I agree with CMH not being as good if all on its own. My last run in RDWC, I had a plant directly under CMH and it didn't do nearly as well as the one that had a part of the plant CMH and part LED. Coulda been just that particular pheno though, but I'm leaning towards it being a combo of the two.You think I can covert my commercial 315se to de? They’re pretty easy to take apart . Some strains, cmh seems to be pretty much the be all end all light. Burn for lots, it’s almost bad on its own. Cmh/led or cmh/hps both just sort of seem to solve the problems with everything ime. Also cmh is still to pricey to make sense to replace all or any of my de hps stuff. You probably could but looks like you got shitload of lights to replace lol. I don't have a par meter to check so any difference would ve all visual (and end weight) based if I try a DE 315.Some strains, cmh seems to be pretty much the be all end all light. And yeah a lot of light, but of increased my yield 20% or more Just swapping them out, I’d eat the cost because I’ll make it back in a cycle.
If you download a lux meter on your phone I can give you estimates for par conversion. There’s a good chance I have the same lights/bulbs around somewhere. There is also CHPS out there but not a lotta talk about it.
I tried one of those, and it just maxes out everywhere lol. Plus it's hard to see because of all the bright lights. Maybe I got a shitty one. You can grab a good dedicated one on amazon for pretty cheap. It’s only the par meters that are expensive.I tried one of those, and it just maxes out everywhere lol. Plus it's hard to see because of all the bright lights. Maybe I got a shitty one. Android
